September 28 Wine Club Pick Up Party and Sneak Peak at San Diego Cellars New Location

Posted on
Hello San Diego Cellars Wine Club Members!  We hope you all had a great summer, and can’t wait to catch you up on everything that has been happening at San Diego Cellars.  Construction is almost complete on the new location in Little Italy, and we will be opening to the public in October, to see some of the images go to http://www.sdcellars.com/blog/construction-blog/

But first, we are thrilled to invite you on Saturday September 28, 2013 from 3 – 8 pm to our first ever event at San Diego Cellars’ new urban winery, located at 2215 Kettner Boulevard.  This is an exclusive sneak peak for Wine Club Members before we open to the public as a way to express our thanks for your continued support of San Diego Cellars.  In addition to showing you our new facilities, we will be offering several new release wines on our new wine-on-tap system for people to sample and purchase.  We will also have a selection of appetizers prepared by Executive Chef Samantha Roach available for sampling.  You will be able to select your wine club order for September, and all outstanding wine club orders will be available for pick up.

As some of you know, we suffered a difficult loss this summer in the San Diego Cellars family when our dear friend and future tasting room manager Bruce Spiller passed away in July, just before his 60th birthday.  Bruce was an integral part of the development of the new facility, and he leaves behind some big shoes to fill.  In honor of Bruce and all of the contributions he brought to San Diego Cellars, we have decided to dedicate the Wine Club to his memory, renaming it the “Bruce Spiller Memorial Wine Club”, aka the Spillers Club.

We are very excited to be embarking on a new chapter at San Diego Cellars as we open our new urban winery and kitchen, and we can’t wait to share it with you, our first and biggest supporters.  Please come join us to drink some wine, taste some food, and explore your new home in downtown.

Cheers Spillers!

Todd
